Shelly > December 1, 2008 Keeping It All In The Family Back from a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend, and I hope you and yours had time to reconnect with the people who mean the most to you as well. I am SO THRILLED that my aunt and uncle, Mary Linda and Harlan, have bought and started gutting this old house because we'll have a great porch for family pictures in years to come. Something even more special about this house is that it still has family connections for us. My other uncle (by marriage to my other aunt in this family) grew up in this house. His dad, the previous homeowner affectionately known as Papa Horace, is the gentleman in the brown shirt -- smack dab in the middle of the crowd. Maybe we'll manage do something about those bushes to make room for more kinfolk after moving day and once things settle down. That's one very cool thing about our family -- there's always enough love and food for more.
Shelly > Nov. 20, 2008 Question of the Day: What do Smugmug Dailies Buddies like to do when they're not taking pictures? Answer: Force-feed each other desserts! Just got back from an absolutely delightful lunch today at Collina's with your friends and mine, Karina Boese and Mike Bustamante. It was SO FUN to meet these two face to face. I LOVE this little community of ours and all the wonderful friendships it helps us build. We'll definitely have to do this again very soon.
Shelly > March 5, 2009 Puppy Kindergarten On a technical note this may not be a very good picture, but we laughed so hard that I just had to share it. Addie has always given us "welcome home" gifts when we get home. She actually brings me my slippers -- one at a time. . I don't want to buy a new pair because I'm afraid she won't recognize them. Sometimes she brings us her chew-bones -- after all, they are a treasure to her. Anyway, it was nearly dark when Mike came home last night. -- and this is how Addie and Lucy greeted him. They pranced around the yard like this for quite a while. "Share everything. Don't take things that aren't yours. Put things back where you found them." Shelly > February 23, 2009 Hi, My Name Is . . . Well, I don't know what my name is. I think it's "Wait Puppy Wait" Anyway, I love my new home and am trying to figure out how I can sneak up onto the soft chairs, but they're watching me too closely and I keep getting caught. I tried it twice, but I don't think I'll do it again. I'm pretty smart about things like that and I won't even LOOK at the chair any more. We have to get this name thing under control. Shelly > June 10, 2009 A Special Cake Mike's mother made him a gluten-free chocolate cake for our visit last weekend, and sent what was left of it home with us. The best part is her oh-so yummy chocolate icing. She's pretty wonderful, and she makes a nice cake too.

We're in a very fast and competitive district and MY Mustangs made a great showing and had several personal records.. Shelly > June 23, 2008 Meet Grace Grace will soon be a mama, and I plan to make regular house calls to check on her progress. If all goes well, we'll create a little gallery for her and I'll tell more of her story as time goes on. To protect what privacy she has left, that's about all the information I care to share at this time. Oh . . . I looked her up and I think she's a Killdeer.
Shelly > July 28, 2009 Growing Family The Dungum's (Dunn-Mangum Family) wanted a new photo to introduce their two soon to be daughters in love. I have been waiting for a family with enough guts and muscle to drag the living room sofa out into their front yard, so it worked out well for all of us. They were great sports on a steamy hot evening. This is a beautiful and very fun family, and I love them all. "For all that has been, thanks. Puppy Kindergarten

On a technical note this may not be a very good picture, but we laughed so hard that I just had to share it. Addie has always given us "welcome home" gifts when we get home. She actually brings me my slippers -- one at a time. . I don't want to buy a new pair because I'm afraid she won't recognize them. Sometimes she brings us her chew-bones -- after all, they are a treasure to her.

Anyway, it was nearly dark when Mike came home last night. -- and this is how Addie and Lucy greeted him. They pranced around the yard like this for quite a while.
