This morning our town held its annual FFA parade, and so I'm dedicating this photo to my friend Cheryl who called at the last minute and said . . . "Let's go. I'm coming to get you in 15 minutes."

This little boy was driving a big ol' John Deere tractor right into downtown. How very exciting for him! I added a little retro-toning to this shot, and it could have been taken anywhere any time in the last fifty or sixty years.

"Success in business requires training and discipline and hard work. But if you're not frightened by these things, the opportunities are just as great today as they ever were."

Oh . . . this is really painful, and I cannot believe I'm even posting this image. Do we even want to call it an image? Oh well . . . it's real life. This is an 18 inch portion of my desk, and it's about the only part where any wood shows through.

A day timer, laptop, adding machine, thick notepad, three telephones, highlighter, lip gloss and the corner of the warranty/user manual for a LOUSY upgraded automatic self-cleaning cat litterbox. What more do I need.? Time to clean up the office maybe?

Now, what in the world did I do with my reading glasses?
