This morning our town held its annual FFA parade, and so I'm dedicating this photo to my friend Cheryl who called at the last minute and said . . . "Let's go. I'm coming to get you in 15 minutes."
This little boy was driving a big ol' John Deere tractor right into downtown. How very exciting for him! I added a little retro-toning to this shot, and it could have been taken anywhere any time in the last fifty or sixty years.
"Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil, and you're a thousand miles from the corn field."
Dwight D. Eisenhower, September 11, 1956
34th president of US 1953-1961 (1890 - 1969)
