Growing Family

The Dungum's (Dunn-Mangum Family) wanted a new photo to introduce their two soon to be daughters in love. I have been waiting for a family with enough guts and muscle to drag the living room sofa out into their front yard, so it worked out well for all of us.

They were great sports on a steamy hot evening. This is a beautiful and very fun family, and I love them all.

The Glammer Jammer Gals

Just a snapshot from pajama party bunco at my house earlier this month.

Take a bunch of very fun women in their pajamas. Add boas from Shelly's Bag O'Boas. Serve pomegranite martinis, breakfast tacos, fruit and several bottles of wine. Finish off with a cowbell and dice. Plenty of chocolate and more wine. . . This is all ya got left.

Love you ladies!

Grasping at Straws

Oh my I love what I do. A $1.98 bag of colored straws -- legitimate business expense -- and time to work in my west studio. La Ti Da!

That's right . . . I have two studios. The main studio is my son's old bedroom which is truly if slowly being converted to a functional studio. The west studio receieves the most wonderful natural south and west light, and it even doubles as a kitchen. Talk about multi-functional!

We happened upon a watermelon and banana eating competition at the beach this weekend. A nice sized crowd gathered to watch, but it took some time and effort to recruit four people with enough spirit to take the challenge. The young man closest to the camera won. His prize . . . McDonald's Gift Cards.

"The prospect of a long day at the beach makes me panic. There is no harder work than taking myself off to somewhere pleasant, where I am forced to stay for hours and have fun." Phillip Lopate

One more veteran.

This has been a hard week. Not a bad week, but a hard one, so I've used several photos from Tuesday. It was such a joy to hang out for a few hours with seniors who can still act like kids. This man was a riot. He got off his electric scooter and only needed a little help to mount up. I believe he's ridden before. He really enjoyed hamming it up for the camera.

Why is it that I can't stop singing that song from Girl Scout Camp?

I like to catch brass rings on the merry go round.
The merry go round, that's me.
Some like to play croquet or embroider or crochet,
But I like to participate in my own way.
I like the hobby horse on the merry go round,
The one that goes up and down.
And my sweetie in the rear
Says I ride like Paul Revere
On the merry, the merry go round.
