This was such a treasure that we wrapped up half of it and brought it all the way home to Houston.

There's a huge cameraderie among those who seek out Risotteria. These women were college friends who came from Minnesota and England for a holiday getaway. On our other side, we met a family from Northern Connecticut. Everyone was ecstatic over the opportunities for good gluten-freen dining -- WITH DESSERT.

Gluten-Free, of course
Shelly > Bard's Tale at Risotteria

A serious quest for the world's most reknown gluten-free restaurant, Risotteria, ended in Greenwich Village. I almost get teary thinking about Mike, who has Celiac Disease, walking into a restaurant and ordering beer, a sandwich AND dessert off the menu without having to ask about ingredients or preparation techniques.

Bards Tale is a beer brewed from sorghum, so it's safe for those with gluten intolerances. It was rich and full-bodied, without the metallic taste of the other GF beer that we can get at home. We've been looking for this brew for several years, but can't get it in Texas.

Good Morning!
Add a little peanut butter for protein and honey to help it slide down. A big cold glass of milk too. Coffee? Well that started before sunrise. Ready for a busy Saturday.
