This gallery is a melange of my photographic styles as well as a look into my daily life. I try to capture something new every day or else to find something that fits the day. It's a great excuse to carry my camera with me more often than not, and it allows me to stop and take those pictures that need to be taken.

Part of this week's assignment for my photography class involved shooting silhouettes. I was on a roof shooting baseball, and although I kept wishing a very big bird would fly slowly past the sun, it wasn't to be. There wasn't anything "pretty" to silhouette, so I decided the telephone pole and power doohickeys would have to do. This is straight out of the camera, no filters applied or other fix-it-ups aside from a minor crop.
I'll be out early in the morning before sunrise . . . one more chance. Perhaps I'll catch an obliging bicyclist -- or a flock of them -- taking off for the MS 150.
