April 21, 2008 Zoom -- The Aloe's in Bloom This is one of several different effects I am working with in my class. For this shot, I set up the tripod directly above these blooming Aloe plants, stopped down my aperture and zoomed the lens while taking the exposure. There were lots of trashed shots, but I sort of liked the way this one came out. In any case, it was fun. This week may bring some odd effects while I try out some different creative techniques.

This gallery is a melange of my photographic styles as well as a look into my daily life. I try to capture something new every day or else to find something that fits the day. It's a great excuse to carry my camera with me more often than not, and it allows me to stop and take those pictures that need to be taken.
